Victoria Park Splash Pad opens

Mark had fun visiting the fantastic new Splash Pad in Victoria Park.

He went to the official opening with local Canton Councillors Cook, Elsmore and Patel, and the Lord Mayor.

Most importantly, also in attendance were dozens of local school children. It was lovely to see them shrieking and dancing away. Splashing under the giant bucket seemed to be the early favourite feature!

Visiting Wales’ first Fuel Bank

My heart goes out to anyone struggling to afford food. For those who can’t afford food, clearly paying energy bills can be tough too.

So, I warmly welcome the news that the Trussel Trust Cardiff Food Bank are now offering a Fuel Bank, to offer energy credit to people in need of it. Many food parcels are given out to people who have no way to cook, often because they cannot afford the electricity. You can read more about the Fuel Bank scheme here.

I visited the Food Bank this morning to see for myself. Many thanks for the welcome I had there. Keep up the good work.
